Izem graduated with a First Class Honours in BSc Biomedical Sciences from University College London (UCL). She is currently a penultimate-year medical student pursuing an MBBS degree at UCL.

She advises on relevant work experience and voluntary roles, assists in crafting standout personal statements, and teaches essential skills for excelling in medical school interviews. She also prepares students for medical school admissions tests such as the UCAT.
At UCL, Izem serves as a transition mentor, supporting incoming clinical-year medical students. She is also the Clinical Education Lead for the UCL Neurology Society, where she has developed and delivered a national Neurology Teaching Series, providing lectures to medical students across the UK.
