Izem graduated with a First Class Honours in BSc Biomedical Sciences from University College London (UCL). She is currently a penultimate-year medical student pursuing an MBBS degree at UCL.
With over five years of experience as a tutor, Izem specialises in teaching Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Turkish. She has earned the QT 4-Part Qualification for Tutors Certificate and has extensive experience working with students with special educational needs, including:
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Dyslexia
  • Mild to severe learning difficulties
  • Depression and anxiety
In addition to her expertise in science and language tutoring, Izem provides tailored guidance to prospective medical students. She advises on relevant work experience and voluntary roles, assists in crafting standout personal statements, and teaches essential skills for excelling in medical school interviews. She also prepares students for medical school admissions tests such as the UCAT.
At UCL, Izem serves as a transition mentor, supporting incoming clinical-year medical students. She is also the Clinical Education Lead for the UCL Neurology Society, where she has developed and delivered a national Neurology Teaching Series, providing lectures to medical students across the UK.
